Happy Birthday Mom - in continuing celebrating my mother's life - and exploring the social sculpture of vulnerability too on my birthday
every september 14th since forever, i would call my mother up in the morning and wish her a happy birth day since it was the day she gave birth to both of us...

fyi the picture is my mother's ritual Friday night prayer and then usually followed by a kiss on my forehead and my sister Andrea, and saying good shabbas -
the image is part of My Mother My Muse series and a sub series called Giving Birth To My Mother, when i spent 3+ months 24/7 with her in her apartment -
this pic was taken Feb, 22, 2007 at 6:32 pm and modified to include picture of myself Sept 14, 2011
